COAL seam gas protester Warrick Jordan is "pretty confident" a number of the five charges against him will be dropped or he'll be found not guilty of them when he faces Narrabri court.
Mr Jordan has five charges pending against him after he scaled a drilling rig at the Eastern Star Gas coal seal gas exploration site in Pilliga State Forest on July 5.
Mr Jordan said his case was meant to be in court on November 29, but the prosecution was still working on paperwork, so the case was adjourned to January 27.
The Newcastle man said his legal representative would probably appear on his behalf to find out whether any of the charges would be pursued and when he would need to face court to answer the charges, if any, and be sentenced.
He is charged with malicious damage, trespassing and climbing a building or structure and risking another person after hanging suspended from the rig for 16 hours as part of a protest against Eastern Star Gas, turning the Pilliga into a gas field.
Mr Jordan said, of the five charges, it looked reasonable that the malicious damage and trespassing charges would be dropped or he would be found not guilty, and he said he couldn't see a lot of cause for the climbing a structure or building and risking another person charge, because he was the only one involved.
He has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.
