The weekly playgroup, which is run through the Tamworth Family Support Service, caters for children up to five years.

The local service is adding to the number of playgroup sessions run each week, with the first Hillvue playgroup to run today.

The new playgroup will be run from Hillvue Public School every Wednesday from 9.30am to 10.30am.

Playgroup co-ordinator Kim Smart, who has worked in the industry for 18 years, said it was exciting to have a new playgroup as the service had never been at Hillvue before.

“It’s a great way to meet more people with young children,” she said.

“We’re expecting to have a good turnout.”
