More heavy falls for Tamworth

ISOLATED storms dumped heavier falls on some parts of Tamworth than others early last night.

Officially only 2.2mm was recorded in the city as of 7pm yesterday.

Unofficially, however, one property south of Tamworth recorded 15mm in its gauge.

The shower also brought a welcome cool change; the temperature dropped by almost 10 degrees Celsius, from 32.4 degrees at 4pm to 22.6 degrees at 5pm.

Today (Feb 7) there is an 80 per cent chance of between 5mm and 10mm of rain, with a maximum temperature of 28 degrees, according to weatherzone.com.au

Tomorr ow (Feb 8) and Thursday will be slightly cooler, at 26 and 27 degrees respectively, however the chance of a shower is less, at 60 and 50 per cent respectively of between 1mm and 5mm.

There will likely be a lot more rain on Friday, with a 90 per cent chance of up to 20mm of rain for Tamworth.
