A TOUCH of magic was in the air at Tamworth Shoppingworld yesterday.
More than 100 kids, parents and carers watched in awe as magician Johnny the Jester worked his magic on the crowd.
Johnny entertained the kids with his humorous anecdotes, audience participation and of course his best friend – Dorothy the dove.
Those who weren’t sitting in the crowd were drawn in by the laughter the charismatic clown brought with him from his adopted home of Brisbane and stopped by to watch the show.
Eric Jacobs of Tamworth was entertained by Johnny the Jester while waiting for his wife at a near by store.
“He’s good with the kids,” Mr Jacobs said.
“It’s good that he’s here in Tamworth, especially on school holidays.”
Daniel Canu enjoyed a day out with his family and told The Leader that “the magician was good, he has cool tricks.”
Parents were also pleased.
“He brings people back which is also good,” Emily Crompton said.
“I would bring my son back to see the show.”
Johnny the Jester will appear at Tamworth Shoppingworld until Saturday, performing two shows at 11am and 1pm.
