A SECTION of the New England Highway is closed after a truck fire near Bendemeer.
The fire broke out just after 2pm.
It is understood the truck was travelling north on the Highway when it caught alight.
Some livestock on board the truck were destroyed.
The occupants of the truck escaped without injury.
RTA officers from Tamworth are believed to have been called to Bendemeer to assist in traffic diversions.
