Drugs, cash seized in second South Tamworth raid

11 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
A man was arrested and cannabis and cash were seized in the second raid in South Tamworth in three days.

A 47-year-old man will appear in court this month charged with supplying a prohibited drug, possession of a prohibited drug and dealing with the proceeds of crime after detectives swooped on the Petra Ave home just before 1pm.

Police found cash and cannabis at the home, which were seized for examination.

The man was one of four people in the home at the time police executed their search warrant.

Officers said their inquiries into the drug find were continuing yesterday.

Their arrest is the second unrelated raid in Petra Ave in three days following the arrest of a 27-year-old man on Wednesday afternoon.
