Action group anniversary

20 Jul, 2011 04:00 AM
THE Caroona Coal Action Group and SOS Liverpool Plains blockade will celebrate its anniversary on Sunday.

The day will include a farewell for local identities, the Mackerras family, who have lived on the Liverpool Plains for 20 years and who have recently sold their property.

The Mackerras have been valued members of the group, and Rod was instrumental in the development of its website.

A presentation by natural history illustrator and artist Robbie van Hemert will be a part of the day’s celebrations.

The event will kick off at 11am with a barbecue lunch, coffee, tea and slices.

Visitors are asked to bring their own chairs.
